Filipino basketball teen sensation Thirdy Ravena tested positive for COVID-19, his team San-en Neophoenix announced Friday night.
Japan. B.League’s first-ever Asian import is currently in his apartment under self-isolation after taking his swab test at the Toyohashi City Health Center.
Ravena was starting to turn heads and impress not only his home team but also the opposition after displaying his athleticism and wide-array of moves in getting to the basket before testing positive.
His stellar opening season had him averaging 12.0 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game and is expected to be back with the team once cleared.
San-En will have a game on Wednesday and Ravena is still doubtful if he can play for the squad following a 2-13 current record in the B.League.
