What role does the youth play in the advocacy of the West Philippine Sea? What are the steps that the youth can take to play a more active role?
Join us at JCI CommonWealth’s The CommonRoom with Justice Carpio: The Role of the Youth in the West Philippine Sea happening this September 19, 2020, Saturday, from 2:30 pm – 5:00 pm and be personally trained by an internationally sought-after lecturer, retired Supreme Court Justice, and former acting Chief Justice who is among the best resource speakers on the topic of the West Philippine Sea. By doing so, you will be better equipped with the facts you need to be able to understand the issue, better inform others, and even implement your own sustainable local projects in line with this advocacy.
To quote Amb. Albert del Rosario, Justice Carpio offers us a valuable lesson: Responsible members of the international community should always strive to manage their relations in a friendly manner whenever possible to the mutual benefit of all within a framework of international law and comity.
By the end of this event, we will be having a united call to action, a statement highlighting the advocacy on the West PH Sea and the urgency with which the youth must get involved in advocating for our historical, cultural, and economic ties to the sea.
