DreamWorks Animation’s beloved crew of animal outlaws return in The Bad Guys 2, hitting Philippine cinemas on July 30 with even more action, laughs, and unexpected twists.
Now reformed, Mr. Wolf and his crew try to lead honest lives, but get pulled into a globe-trotting heist orchestrated by a new, formidable crew—The Bad Girls.
Based on Aaron Blabey’s New York Times best-selling book series, the sequel builds on the first film’s box-office success and literary boom, with sales soaring past 30 million copies since 2022.
Returning to voice their fan-favorite characters are Academy Award® winner Sam Rockwell as Mr. Wolf, Marc Maron as Mr. Snake, Craig Robinson as Mr. Shark, Anthony Ramos as Mr. Piranha, and Awkwafina as the tech-savvy Ms. Tarantula.
The sequel introduces a fresh trio of female antiheroes: Danielle Brooks as Kitty Kat, Maria Bakalova as Pigtail, and Natasha Lyonne as Doom—a snow leopard, a Bulgarian wild boar, and a sly raven, respectively.
“These characters bring a whole new dynamic to the story,” said director Pierre Perifel, who returns to helm the sequel alongside co-director JP Sans.

The film also features returning favorites including Zazie Beetz as Governor Diane Foxington, Richard Ayoade as Professor Marmalade, Alex Borstein as Commissioner Misty Luggins, and Lilly Singh as reporter Tiffany Fluffit.
Producer Damon Ross and composer Daniel Pemberton, both from the original team, also return to deliver the film’s signature high-energy tone and style.
Set in a world where redemption is complicated and friendship is tested, The Bad Guys 2 blends slapstick action with heartfelt moments and a fresh take on the classic heist genre.
Catch The Bad Guys 2 in theaters across the Philippines starting July 30, and follow Universal Pictures PH on social media for updates.
