Philippine squad star spiker Marck Espejo has found a new home in Thai club Visakha volleyball club after a silver medal finish in the 2019 Southeast Asian Games.
The historic run by the PH men’s volleyball team caught the attention of other foreign professional teams, and all eyes were on Espejo.
During the PH massive upset against the powerhouse Thailand team, Espejo scored 20 huge points and was firing on all cylinders.
Previously playing as an import in Japan’s Oita Miyoshi Weisse Adler, the international experience that Espejo had also backed up Thailand’s choice in picking him up.
Espejo started his professional career when he suited up for the Cignal HD Spikers in the Spikers’ Turf league, leading the team to back-to-back titles.
“Before nung game, may pinasa sa aking article. Siguro Thailand narin naglabas. Maglalaro ako sa isang Thai club, Visakha. Aalis ako sa December 15, hanggang April,” Espejo stated.
