BACOLOD CITY – Talisay City officially received its 2024 Community-Based Monitoring System data files and notarized Data Turnover Agreement from the Philippine Statistics Authority-Negros Occidental.
The turnover signifies the official transfer of responsibility and authorized use of the data.
City Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Marmelo J. Sausi, EnP, together with his staff, formally received the flash drive containing the 2024 CBMS data files.
Through the CBMS, the local government unit gains access to comprehensive and disaggregated data that can guide resource allocation, identify priority sectors, and design targeted interventions responsive to the needs of its constituents.
The data were officially delivered by representatives of PSA-Negros Occidental, led by Supervising Statistical Specialist Diesah S. Biaoco, Statistical Specialists II Fredimar M. Gonzales and Ramon M. Locsin, and Information Systems Analyst I Benjie Lee P.
The turnover signifies a collaborative effort between the PSA and the city government of Talisay to ensure that accurate and up-to-date data are made accessible to support evidence-based governance and local development planning.
The CBMS is an organized, technology-based system for collecting, processing, and validating disaggregated data that may be used for local planning, program implementation, and impact monitoring, according to the PSA.
The system also helps local governments target households for poverty alleviation and economic development programs.
