BACOLOD City – A college teacher suffered minor injuries after he was punched by a student inside their school campus in Sagay City, Negros Occidental last Monday.
Police withheld the names of the 20-year-old student and the 30-year-old teacher.
Based on police investigation, the student allegedly acted rudely when he was requested by the teacher to temporarily leave the area as the intramural activity was in progress and the classroom was being used as a “dressing room” for the participants.
However, the student probably got irked and allegedly suddenly attacked the teacher, hitting his right neck in front of the students.
The student was arrested but was later released from police custody after the lapse of the reglementary detention.
However, the teacher is willing to press charges against the student.
