If there’s someone the whole world wants to see lace up his shoes in a shooting contest, that’s got to be Stephen Curry.
After missing this season’s NBA All-Star 3-Point Contest due to a lingering right knee injury, the league’s all-time leader in 3-pointers already confirmed his entry for next year’s shooting tournament, announced Feb. 16, 2026.
When asked by the NBA Showtime panel if he will join the All-Star 3-Point Contest, Curry immediately replied: “Oh, 100%.”
This comes after Portland Trail Blazers superstar Damian Lillard made history, winning the All-Star 3-Point Contest despite recovering from a ruptured Achilles injury without a single regular-season game played.
With the victory, Lillard officially joined Larry Bird and Craig Hodges as the only players in NBA All-Star history to win three 3-Point Contest titles.
Lillard was sensational during the contest as he quickly got hot from deep with 27 first-round points, which was enough to secure a spot in the final round.
Advancing along with Lillard were Charlotte’s Kon Knueppel and Phoenix’s Devin Booker, scoring 27 and 30 points, respectively.
Despite Booker’s fiery start, Lillard proved he is still the superior knockdown shooter after dropping 29 points in the final round to win his third 3-Point Contest trophy.
“I already expected it,” Curry added.
“We can bring some people. I will try to get Klay (Thompson), of course, Dame. Let’s go. Yeah, I like it.”
With the NBA All-Star festivities now over, Curry will look to redirect his focus in the final 28 regular-season games. The Warriors are currently sitting at the eighth spot in the Western Conference with a 29-26 win-loss record.
