The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Iloilo turned over the data from the Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) to the local government unit of Bingawan, Iloilo.
Bingawan was one of the LGUs who participated in the 2022 CBMS roll-out.
The commemorative activity took place at the Municipal Hall of Bingawan on November 30, 2023. Through the joint efforts of the PSA and the local government unit of Bingawan, this event was made possible.
Among the officials in attendance were Vice Mayor Eduardo A. Dalipe, Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Engr. Dan P. Plagata, Municipal Social Welfare and Development Officer and Data Protection Officer Mr. Joram T. Gallaza, PSA-RSSO VI fficer-in-Charge and Chief Statistical Specialist Nelida C. Amolar, and PSA Iloilo Officer-in-Charge and Supervising Statistical Specialist Jerry L. Dolutan.
Also in attendance were the Department Heads, Barangay Captains, and other PSA and LGU personnel.
Senior Statistical Specialist Stephen C. Araña presented the highlights of the results from the Household and Barangay Profile Questionnaire.
The presentation includes data about the basic services such as electricity, internet, water, toilet facilities, safety, food insecurity, and disaster preparedness.
The CBMS covered 14 barangays of Bingawan with 4,039 responding households with a total of 16,129 individuals covered.
In behalf of the Mayor Mark P. Palabrica, Vice Mayor Eduardo A. Dalipe delivered his acceptance message. He thanked the PSA who made the event possible and for providing important data that could help and guide policy makers and leaders in implementing projects in the municipality of Bingawan.
