League sources confirmed that National University superstar Dave Ildefonso is leaving the team after two years.
The son of PBA legend Danny Ildefonso, Dave took the UAAP by storm with a dominant rookie season, averaging 14 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3 assists per game.
His improved level of play notched him superstar status during his second year after showing the entire UAAP community that he could lead a team by scoring a team-high 16.9 ppg while draining clutch baskets to boost the Bulldogs.
Also serving as Batang Gilas’ main gunner, the international experience Ildefonso garnered made him what he is today, a silent killer who gets the job done.
With Ildefonso playing at such a high level, the possibility that other universities would try and lure Ildefonso from NU was expected. Rumors are already circulating that Dave is headed to the Ateneo Blue Eagles, the team he played for during his high school years.
