Arwind Santos is set to wear the San Miguel Beermen uniform after serving 2 months of suspension as he was cleared to participate in team practices.
The SMB staff and coaches confirmed that Santos will participate during practices, but no decision has been stated toward Ronald Tubid and Kelly Nabong, the other locals involved in the SMB turmoil a few months ago.
The absence of the three locals proved to be the reason for SMB’s early exit in the ongoing PBA Governor’s Cup and the SMB management isn’t going to let the losing continue, thus, activating Santos back in the lineup.
Santos has been one of SMB’s cores during their championship runs, sinking clutch baskets and anchoring the SMB defense behind June Mar Fajardo.
PBA’s next season is starting three weeks after the Governor’s Cup and the Beermen are already tightening their preparations after losing their chance to win a grand slam.
