A SECURITY guard of SM City-Iloilo proved that honesty is still the best policy amid hardships in life.
At around 8:40 p.m. of July 22, 2019, Security guard Cyrus Semilla of NMISA Security Force Inc. recovered a black bag at the Food Hall on the 2nd level of Northpoint area.
Semilla immediately turned over the bag to the CRS Office for safekeeping.

During the inspection, the CRS found that the bag contained P19,930 cash, assorted IDs, a BDO cash card, a GSIS card and other valuable items.
At around 9 p.m. of the same day, the owner of the bag, Vincent Catamin of Calinog, Iloilo, went to the CRS office to claim his property. After thorough verification, the management released the bag to him.
SG Semilla’s good deeds and sincerity to his job are commendable acts worthy of emulation and recognition. He is a rare gem that his family and the community should be proud of.
