BACOLOD CITY — SM City Bacolod officially opened the SM Skyhall on Wednesday afternoon, a new multi-events venue located on the sixth floor of the mall’s North Block.
Primarily designed for sports, Skyhall is also equipped to host a variety of events including concerts, conventions, graduations, trade shows, and social functions.
The venue can accommodate up to 1,000 guests and offers flexible configurations with options for fan or air-conditioned setups.
It features a FIBA- and FIVB-standard wooden court, dugout facilities, fixed and modular seating, restrooms, and a spacious lobby for ingress, egress, and reception.
The layout enables quick transitions between athletic events, stage productions, and business conferences.
Situated in the mall’s North Block, Skyhall is connected to restaurants, wellness hubs, a four-level covered parking structure, National University Bacolod, and the soon-to-rise SM Offices.
Manokan Country, a local dining landmark, is also within walking distance, offering a cultural touchpoint for visitors.
“Skyhall is about access and choice,” said Michelle Leslie Llanos, vice president for SM Supermalls–Visayas.
“We wanted a venue that feels close to daily life and is practical to configure for different event goals,” she added.
Llanos said the E.P.I.C. concept—Entertain, Play, Inspire, Celebrate—guides SM’s vision for versatile community venues.
Skyhall adds to SM’s growing lineup of events destinations, joining large-scale venues such as the SM Mall of Asia Arena and mid-sized facilities like the SM Southmall Events Hall.
Leading the launch were Llanos, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson, Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya, Vice Mayor Kalaw Puentevella, and city councilors.
