Six CAA detachments in Murcia get P150,000 cash aid

BACOLOD City – The local government of Murcia in Negros Occidental turned over P150,000 cash assistance to six patrol bases of the Civilian Armed Forces Geographical Unit (Cafgu) Active Auxiliary (CAA) based in the town last Wednesday.

Recognizing the relentless dedication and sacrifice of the CAAs, Mayor Gerry Rojas distributed P25,000 each to CAA detachments – Lizares PB, Caliban PB, Pagla-um PB, Pandanon PB, Negros First Ranch PB, and Canlandog PB in Murcia town.

These detachments are under the Operational Control of the Army’s 79th Infantry Battalion (IB) under the supervision of Lieutenant Colonel Arnel Calaoagan.

The financial support is for the improvement of the CAA patrol bases and to assist them in their day-to-day operations as they safeguard the community, according to the Army.

Rojas expressed his gratitude towards the CAAs for their unwavering commitment to public service and continuous efforts in maintaining peace and order.

He emphasized the significance of working hand in hand with law enforcement agencies to create a harmonious and secure environment for the community.

The mayor, in his message, said the municipality remains committed to ensuring the well-being of every resident by fostering strong partnerships and providing necessary support to our local security forces.

“Moving forward, we will continue to seek various opportunities to enhance the resources available to our CAAs and work towards further strengthening our municipality’s security,” he added.

Brigadier General Orlando Edralin, commander of the 303rd Infantry Brigade (IBde), in his message, noted that it is through collaborative efforts such as these that the local government demonstrates its profound respect for the sacrifices made by the CAAs.

“I am grateful to Mayor Rojas for the recognition and the entire local government of Murcia for the generosity of appreciating and recognizing the efforts of our security forces,” Edralin said.

Also present during the said activity were Police Major Mark Joel Reclamado, Murcia town police chief, Hon. Romulo Torrecarion Jr., chief of staff of the Mayor’s Office, Municipal Assessor’s Officer Randy Gamboa, and Capt. Mervin Rosal, 303rd IBde civil military operations officer.
