Jannik Sinner delivered his most dominant performance of the Cincinnati Masters, overwhelming Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-0, 6-2 to book a semifinal spot on Aug. 15, 2025, at the Linder Family Tennis Center in Ohio.
Fresh from a tight Round of 16 battle against Adrian Mannarino, the world No. 1 carried over his strong first-set showing but added sharper precision to his groundstrokes.
Aliassime, unable to match Sinner’s consistency and power, could only smile in disbelief as the Italian surged to a 3-0 lead in the opening set.
An early break in the second game set the tone, with Sinner adjusting to the hard court by striking forehands at a higher contact point to control pace and depth.
Aliassime, meanwhile, struggled to adapt, remaining pinned to the baseline and reacting to whatever Sinner threw at him.
Sinner closed the opener with a flawless 6-0 run, punctuated by a blistering forehand passing shot.
Even when Aliassime tried to pull Sinner forward with net attacks, the top seed countered with deft forehand drop shots that consistently landed in his opponent’s no-man’s land.
Frustration mounted for the Canadian, who attempted to go shot-for-shot from the baseline but failed to earn a single break point.
Sinner sealed the quarterfinal win with 12 aces, a 97% first-serve percentage, 79 total points won, and 31 receiving points.
