BACOLOD City – A Grade 12 student was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation that allegedly yielded a total of P6,400 worth of illegal drugs at Purok Aton, Barangay Zone 4, Cadiz City, Negros Occidental last Tuesday.
Police withheld the name of the 18-year-old suspect, a resident of Barangay Tinampa-an.
Lieutenant Colonel Gil John Despi, city police chief, said they subjected the suspect to the operation after receiving a report regarding his alleged illegal activity.

Police confiscated from him 0.5 grams of suspected shabu worth P3,400, the P500 marked money, and 25 grams of suspected marijuana dried leaves worth P3,000.
Despi said they are probing if the suspect also had clients who are students.
“Wala ta ga rely lang sa kung ano ihambal niya,” Despi said, adding that they are verifying his allegations.
The suspect will be charged for the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs.
