The San Miguel Beermen recorded the most dominant win by any team in the ongoing PBA Philippine Cup with a 41-point decimation of the Titan Ultra Giant Risers, 158-117, on Nov. 12, 2025, at the Ynares Center II.
Spearheading San Miguel’s one-sided clinic was the PBA’s only nine-time MVP, June Mar Fajardo, who tallied his first-ever triple-double since entering the league in 2012.
The pride of Pinamungajan, Cebu, delivered in a lot of ways for the Beermen, including a rare passive offensive performance that was all part of a more lethal plan.
Fajardo finished the contest with 12 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists, a sweet achievement he celebrated together with his teammates and head coach Leo Austria.
The towering behemoth kicked off the ball game looking to score, schooling every Titan Ultra big man thrown at him in the post with a series of isolation paint baskets.
However, when the Giant Risers decided to double him at the start of the second quarter, the versatile center rifled on-point dimes to his open teammates, which benefited CJ Perez and Jericho Cruz the most.
Fajardo’s unselfishness opened the door for his teammates to produce offensively, en route to a demoralizing 43-14 second-quarter finish to mount a 78-39 lead heading into the second half.
The game was pretty much over when the third frame started, as San Miguel built its biggest lead of the ball game to as much as 50 points midway through the quarter, 101-51.
Due to the embarrassing outcome, Titan Ultra decided to field an all-bench rotation in the fourth quarter and has now lost four of its last five games.
It was a balanced effort that capped off the massive victory, as Perez’s 26 points topped San Miguel, backstopped by Cruz’s 24 markers.
Despite playing limited minutes, the duo of Don Trollano and Jeron Teng still chipped in double digits and delivered 20 and 15 points, respectively.
“June Mar, he’s not looking to score anymore,” said SMB head coach Austria after the win.
“He’s looking to assist. Maybe napansin niya na malapit na siya mag-triple-double, kaya nakuha niya. Another record for him.”
With the win, the Beermen extended their winning streak to five straight games, tying the NLEX Road Warriors and the Rain or Shine Elasto Painters’ 5-2 win-loss record for the three-way top 2 spot.
