The San Antonio Spurs dealt the shorthanded Los Angeles Lakers a demolition, 136-108, to extend their NBA regular-season winning streak to five games on Feb. 11, 2026.
Without Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Austin Reaves and Marcus Smart, the Lakers never established a lead in four quarters and could only watch the rolling Spurs overwhelm them on their home floor at Crypto.com Arena.
San Antonio immediately blew the game wide open in the first quarter, mounting a 17-point lead, 47-30, behind an unconscious Victor Wembanyama, who already had 25 points in the first 12 minutes of action.
The French superstar was all over the floor, firing on all cylinders and reigniting the old Western Conference rivalry with back-to-back 3-pointers and eight consecutive points from layups and follow-up tip-ins.
Wembanyama ended the first half with 37 points, steering the Spurs to a commanding 29-point cushion at halftime, 84-55.
Despite a better start for the Lakers in the third quarter, the Spurs responded decisively, led by Dylan Harper and Carter Bryant, who ignited the bench with a momentum-boosting 15-3 run at the end of the period.
Harper picked up where De’Aaron Fox left off, orchestrating the San Antonio offense and supported by Bryant’s efficient two-way outing.
JJ Redick and the rest of the Lakers coaching staff decided to wave the white flag with 10 minutes remaining in the fourth quarter because of San Antonio’s 41-point lead.
Wembanyama capped the lopsided win with 40 points on an efficient 13-of-20 shooting from the field, along with 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals.
Meanwhile, the backcourt duo of Bryant and Harper supplied the Spurs with 16 and 15 points, respectively, and combined for nine assists.
On the other hand, the lack of firepower was evident for the Lakers, as Luke Kennard and Drew Timme were the only bright spots for Los Angeles with 14 points each.
