Despite a four-day break after the NBA All-Star festivity, the San Antonio Spurs still picked up where they left off, decimating the Phoenix Suns, 121-94, for their seventh consecutive regular season win on Feb. 20, 2026.
It was another day at the office for San Antonio, as 11 of its players contributed offensively, led by Stephon Castle, who dropped 20 points in just 21 minutes, built on an efficient 8-of-11 shooting from the field.
The hybrid guard was too much for Devin Booker and Jalen Green as he drove down Phoenix’s shaded lane at will, while also lighting it up from downtown with two 3-pointers.
Castle was responsible for the Spurs’ waxing hot start as he quickly reached double digits in scoring that steered the silver and black to an 11-point lead at the half, 61-49.
All hell broke loose when the third frame kicked off as the trio of Victor Wembanyama, De’Aaron Fox, and Dylan Harper spearheaded a massive 37-22 turnaround for a 26-point Spurs cushion.
Just like their past wins over Golden State and the Lakers, the Spurs turned on the jets in the third frame and never looked back, capping off the second half with tighter defensive coverage in the fourth that neutralized any come-from-behind attempts.
Aside from the Spurs’ consistent offensive schemes in the perimeter, the No. 2 team in the Western Conference out-ran the Suns on the break, scoring 25 fast break points compared to Phoenix’s seven.
Eleven of those came in the third period alone, after Fox and Castle swiped three straight steals that mounted the Spurs’ biggest lead of the game to 32 points.
Despite a personal scoring run from Green that kicked off the Suns’ fourth-quarter run on a high note, the Spurs remained calm, weathering the storm with their own offensive avalanche spearheaded by their bench mob.
Wembanyama and Harper each scored 17 points, while Fox nearly tallied a double-double outing of 15 markers, eight assists, and three rebounds.
On the other hand, Phoenix’s Green erupted for 26 points, but needed more help as Booker exited the game early with an injured hip.
