THE job fair organized by the Rotary Club of Iloilo and the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) of the province of Iloilo on Sept 17, 2019 at GT Town Center in Pavia, Iloilo attracted more than 200 jobseekers.
Led by the RCI president Gerald Jones “Dhudz” Berondo and PESO head Francisco Heler, the job fair saw 296 qualified registered applicants (including 231 who registered) who sought opportunities from 64 companies that offered job vacancies.

The hired-on-the-spot applicants numbered to 37 or 12.5 percent hiring rate.
310 applicants are up for further interview.
Rotarian Berondo said he was overwhelmed by the public’s response to the job fair despite the heavy rains caused by the monsoons and a raging storm.

“This is just part of our many projects for Rotary Year 2019-2020. We also acknowledge the presence of Rotary International District 3850 Governor Raphy Tayco for visiting the job fair. And most of all, to PESO, the companies and government agencies who partnered with us, the sponsors, the applicants, and the RCI members and our Anns who were more than eager to help,” Dr. Berondo said.
