Sisi Rondina and Bernadeth Pons have tightened up their preparations for the upcoming Southeast Asian Games, beach volleyball event.
Sweeping the 2019 Rebisco Beach Volleyball International Open, Rondina and Pons conquered Dij Rodriguez and Dzi Gervacio with an impressive 21-10, 21-16 win.
As part of their intense preparation for the 2019 SEA Games, the superb duo displayed a masterful performance that helped them gain the much-needed boost to help them win the gold medal.
Before joining the Rebisco tourney, Rondina and Pons have joined previous pocket beach volleyball tournaments and is still undergoing intensive physical conditioning.
With hopes of reaching the top three or even nabbing the gold title, the duo is relying on their speed and excellent receiving game to counter the size of the international teams.
“Napakahirap na makipagbakbakan sa mga international teams, lalo na’t matatangkad, mas experienced, at mas beteranong mga player,” Rondina said.
