After winning the Brave Combat Federation 2020 Fighter of the Year award, Rolando Dy inked a three-year deal with the MMA league and looks to earn a title shot in the lightweight division.
Dy is currently holding a two-fight winning streak from last year: one via a split decision victory over Maciek Gierszewski and the other one against top dog John Brewin who fell at the hands of the Filipino.
“Without hesitations, they gave me the opportunity to write a new chapter in my story as a combat sports competitor. Here I am today, one of the best fighters on their roster and in the world,” Dy said.
With his recent performance in Brave CF, Dy put himself in the conversation to challenge current lightweight champion Amin Ayoub.
The current Brave lightweight king holds an impressive record of 15-4 compared to Dy’s 14-9 professional record and is fresh off a title-clinching championship win over former undisputed lightweight champ Cleiton Silva.
“I want that title shot in 2021. But if BRAVE CF thinks I have to prove it again, then so be it. I really don’t mind. Line them up and I will keep knocking them down,” Dy added.
