It’s not easy to score in a basketball game, much less 130 points (and that’s no typo!)
The last player to breach the triple-digit mark was the Alaska Aces’ Jeron Teng when he scored 104 points way back during his high school years when he played for the Xavier Golden Stallions.
During the renowned ‘LGR Hoops’ recreational league in Metro Manila, one player cruised his way to the record books as he scored 130 points in a single game.
Jimboy Deles, who plays for the Colmax Collagen in the LGR league, knocked down a dizzying amount of treys, sinking 41 shots from downtown.
The scoring feat was accomplished during their game against the Tigers where they crushed the latter, 174-83.
Deles singlehandedly outscored the opposing team and tallied more than half of his team’s total produced points.
Mind-blowing statistics isn’t that new in the league, as past players also posted monster numbers, but in different departments of the game.
Edward Garcia once tallied a quintuple-double, chalking up 21 points, 11 rebounds, 11 dimes, 10 snatches, and 10 rejections.
Elias Aldana, a barangay chairman in Las Piñas City, scored 98 points last year.
