Region’s No. 4 Most Wanted Nabbed for Rape

A laborer accused of rape was arrested on the afternoon of May 28 in Tibiao, Antique.
The 33-year-old suspect, identified only as “Joven,” was apprehended at his home in Barangay Tuno, Tibiao.
He was arrested by joint personnel of the Tibiao Municipal Police Station, the 2nd Antique Provincial Mobile Force Company, the Antique Police Provincial Office–Provincial Intelligence Unit (AnPPO-PIU), and the Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU) 6.
The arrest was made by virtue of a warrant for rape under Criminal Case No. RT-BGS-2025-04-2452.
The warrant was issued by Judge Mario De Guzman Andres of Regional Trial Court Branch 64 in Bugasong, Antique, on April 3, 2025.
No bail was recommended for the suspect’s temporary release.
Authorities said Joven was listed as the fourth most wanted person in Western Visayas.
He is currently detained and will be turned over to the appropriate court.
