PWD, wife nabbed with P61,000 ‘shabu’

BACOLOD City – A couple was arrested by police in a buy-bust operation that yielded nine grams of suspected shabu worth P61,200 at Hacienda Cumabat 1, Barangay E. Lopez, Silay City, Negros Occidental last Wednesday.
Police identified the suspects as Ronel Baron, 31, a person with disability (PWD), and his wife Melisa, 39.
Major Rhea Sarah Villanueva, officer-in-charge of Silay City Police Station, said the couple is jobless.
“Sa balay sila mismo ga transact kay cover nila nga PWD ang lalaki,” she added.
Both of them are considered street level individuals, according to the police.
Police also recovered from them the P3,000 marked money.
