AS PART of the successful launch of the Laro’t Saya event in Iloilo City, the Philippine Sports Commission handed the Iloilo City Sports Development Division early Christmas presents.
In line with Laro’t Saya’s tagline and concept where you play and learn sports for free, PSC handed to the ICSDD sports equipments to help develop the city’s sports and wellness program.
According to Executive Assistant for Sports Rudiver Jungco Sr, the donation included equipment for basketball, football, arnis, taekwondo, volleyball, lawn tennis, and table tennis.
Knee and elbow supports for skateboarding were also handed over to the city government.
The equipment will help bolster the upcoming sporting activities by the Iloilo City government and the ICSDD, especially Laro’t Saya which officially starts on October 19, 2019.
The family-oriented sports program to be held every Saturday will start as early as 7 a.m. and will be handled by professional and licensed coaches in every sport.
