PSA Region VI Launches Civil Registration Month

The Philippine Statistics Authority Regional Statistical Services Office VI (PSA RSSO VI) will lead the 35th Civil Registration Month (CRM) celebration in February 2025 with the theme: “Building a Resilient, Agile, and Future-Fit Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (CRVS) System.”
This annual event aligns with Presidential Proclamation No. 682, signed by President Corazon C. Aquino on January 28, 1991, designating February as Civil Registration Month.
The celebration will begin with an opening ceremony on February 3, 2025. A motorcade featuring members of the Regional Inter-Agency Committee on Civil Registration and Vital Statistics (RIACCRVS) will kick off the event.
Following the motorcade, an opening program will be held at Robinsons Jaro, Iloilo City. The event will offer various services from PSA and RIACCRVS members, including:
- A Civil Registration Helpdesk
- CRS mobile operations for issuing civil registry documents
- An infographics standee display
- PhilSys registration and consultation booths
The month-long celebration aims to enhance public awareness of the importance of civil registration and encourage participation in building a robust CRVS system.
