The Philippine Statistics Authority–Negros Occidental successfully conducted its Work Immersion and Internship Exit Program on Dec. 19, 2025, marking the completion of on-the-job training for student interns from two local educational institutions.
The activity was held in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, and formally concluded the internship and work immersion of students from Bacolod City College and Luis Hervias National High School.
Throughout their internship, the students were assigned to various PSA units, including Civil Registration Services, the National ID Section, the Finance and Administrative Section, the Birth Registration Assistance Project, and the Statistical Section.
PSA said the diverse assignments allowed interns to develop practical workplace skills while gaining firsthand exposure to public service operations and statistical work at the provincial level.
During the program, Officer-in-Charge Chief Statistical Specialist Diesah S. Biaoco thanked the students for choosing PSA as their training institution and encouraged them to apply the knowledge, discipline and values they acquired during their internship in their future endeavors.
Officer-in-Charge Regional Director John F. Campomanes also addressed the interns, urging them to carry forward the insights and professional experiences they gained during their time at PSA.
Student representatives from both schools shared their reflections during the exit program, expressing gratitude for the guidance and mentorship provided by PSA personnel throughout their training.
The students highlighted their participation in meaningful office operations, which they said helped enhance their confidence, work readiness and appreciation of public sector service.
The program concluded with the awarding of Certificates of Completion to senior high school interns from the HUMSS and CSS tracks and college interns enrolled in the Bachelor of Science in Office Administration program.
Through the initiative, PSA Negros Occidental reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with academic institutions by offering internship opportunities that help develop future professionals and promote excellence in public service.
