SAN CARLOS CITY — The Negros Occidental Provincial Statistical Office (PSO) mobilized its National ID (NID) team to support the Regional Statistical Services Office-Negros Island Region (RSSO-NIR) in a mobile registration campaign held in San Carlos City on Feb. 4 to 5, 2026.
The initiative was part of the 36th Civil Registration Month celebration of the City Civil Registrar’s Office of San Carlos City and focused on delivering Philippine Statistics Authority services to the locality.
The event allowed residents to access PSA services, especially NID registration, without having to travel to the NID Fixed Registration in Bacolod City.
The National ID team served a total of 622 clients during the two-day campaign.
The team processed 387 new registrations, 102 NID in paper format issuances, 84 record updates, and 49 Transaction Reference Number (TRN) retrievals.
The RSSO-NIR also deployed its Civil Registration Service (CRS) Mobile Outlet team in a supporting capacity.
Despite a shortened schedule on the second day due to Typhoon Basyang, Registration Officer II Edwin Guiking reported that the activity recorded the highest provincial turnout for a mobile registration event since June 2025.
The CRS component processed 831 transactions and released 1,212 security paper (SECPA) copies during the campaign.
The mobile registration campaign was a result of coordination between the PSA and the San Carlos City local government unit.
Supervising Statistical Specialist Diesah S. Biaoco held a courtesy visit with Mayor Renato Y. Gustilo to discuss future programs.
Acting City Civil Registrar Eddie Flor C. Silva confirmed that the Office of the City Civil Registrar will host a follow-up event at the city auditorium in the second quarter of 2026.
