POLICE Regional Office (PRO)-6 personnel planted around 600 mahogany, Gmelina, and fruit bearing trees at Brgy. Hinactacan, Lapaz, Iloilo City on Aug 13, 2019.
One of the core values of the Philippine National Police (PNP) is “Makakalikasan” which promotes activities aimed at saving the environment.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem J. Malong, PRO-6 spokesperson, the activity is in line with the celebration of the 118th Police Service anniversary last Aug 8.

The activity was attended by more or less 100 personnel from the regional headquarters headed by Police Colonel Remus Zacharias P Canieso, Deputy Regional Director for Administration; personnel from the national administrative and operational support units; and Iloilo City Police Office officers headed by their city director, Police Colonel Martin E Defensor Jr.
Also in attendance was Armand Dayrit, Executive Assistance for Environment of Iloilo City.
The saplings were provided by the individual police officers.
