PRO-6 seizes P26M worth of shabu in two-week ops
The Police Regional Office 6’s (PRO-6) two-week anti-illegal drugs operations seized approximately 3,829 grams of shabu valued at P26 million, along with 120 grams of marijuana worth P14,400, and resulted in the arrests of 196 illegal drug peddlers.
This was the result of 141 police operations conducted regionwide from June 1 to 15, 2024.
Below are the contributions of the different police units across Western Visayas in terms of the number of arrests:
– Aklan Police Provincial Office (PPO) with 1 arrest
– Antique PPO with 3 arrests
– Capiz PPO with 9 arrests
– Guimaras PPO with 2 arrests
– Iloilo PPO with 40 arrests
– Negros Occidental PPO with 74 arrests
– Bacolod City Police Office with 20 arrests
– Iloilo City Police Office with 29 arrests
– Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit 6 (RPDEU6) with 18 arrests
Among the units, Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office had the highest number of arrests with 74, while the RPDEU6 had the highest volume of recoveries with 1,282 grams of suspected shabu valued at P8.7 million.
Brigadier General Jack L. Wanky, PRO-6 director, recognized the contributions of the different units across the region.
“Nakikita ko ang inyong pagsusumikap para mahuli ang mga imbolbado sa illegal na kalakalan ng droga. Ipagpatuloy at lalo pa nating paigtingin ang ating kampanya laban dito. Hangad po natin na malinis ang ating mga lansangan sa banta ng illegal na droga,” Wanky added.
