A female officer has officially taken over as spokesperson of the Police Regional Office 6 (PRO-6) based in Iloilo City, effective Friday, June 30.
Major Lailyn Sencil succeeded Lt. Col. Arnel Solis, who served in the post for one year and three months.
Sencil previously served as chief of the Plans Section under the Regional Plans and Strategy Management Division.
She joined the police force in 2003 as a Police Officer 1.
A graduate of AB Broadcast Communication Management from the University of the Philippines Visayas, she was commissioned in 2012 through lateral entry.
A native of Anilao, Iloilo, the 44-year-old officer currently resides in Sta. Barbara, Iloilo.
Solis, who relinquished the role, has been reassigned to the Iloilo Police Provincial Office.
He said the personnel movement supports career advancement for both him and Sencil.
