Palm Concepcion Power Corporation (PCPC) turned over a brand new van to the Municipality of Concepcion on October 24, 2023 to help the town’s logistical and transportation needs.
Vice Mayor Yen Ortiz said the vehicle will help them in their official functions, ensuring smoother operations and enhancing the efficacy of municipal services.
Concepcion Mayor Milliard Villanueva also thanked PCPC for the donation which will help make the town more investor friendly and efficient in serving its constituents.
This act of goodwill transcends the corporate-governance divide, symbolizing a mutual investment in the community’s prosperity, Villanueva said.
The turnover ceremony, presided over by PCPC officials led by Plant Manager Rene Marlon Castigador, Corporate Affairs Manager Noel Dorego, Security Head Ace Escaniel, and other members of the Corporate Affairs Group, stood “as a testament to the synergistic relationship between the private sector and local governance.”
It also highlighted the collective efforts to foster a more robust and well-connected community.
Castigador said their effort “exemplifies PCPC’s ethos of generating power and empowering communities. It signifies a harmonious blend of corporate success and social responsibility, setting a paradigm for other entities to follow suit.”
The donated van stands not just as a vehicle on wheels but as a tangible emblem of unity—bridging gaps, facilitating progress, and steering Concepcion toward a future marked by collaborative growth and shared prosperity, he added.
