‘POOLE PARTY’: Jordan Poole fires 36 points as Golden State crushes Spurs

Jordan Poole made the most of his opportunity after starting for Golden State in the absence of Klay Thompson and steered the Warriors to a convincing 132-95 win over the San Antonio Spurs last November 15, 2022.

The exciting young star tallied his season-best in scoring and poured 36 markers built from 13 made field goals out of his 20 total attempts.

Poole’s efficient offensive production helped Golden State pull away in the second quarter and never gave their double-digit lead up until the final buzzer.

It was an insane shooting night for the creative scoring machine after draining five three-pointers including a four-point play when he got fouled from downtown at the 10:36 mark of the final frame.

Aside from his scoring, Poole also stuffed the stat sheets and concluded his night with three steals, two rebounds, two assists, and a block in 36 minutes of playing time.

It was a much-needed win for Golden State after dropping their last game against the Sacramento Kings where they failed to protect their lead and melted down in the last quarter.

Five players also scored in double figures for the Warriors which took out most of the pressure from Stephen Curry who became the team’s top scorer in most of their games.

Anthony Lamb shot the lights out and contributed 17 points while two-way swingman Jonathan Kuminga chipped in 15 points.

Andrew Wiggins gave Golden State 10, Moses Moody had 11, while Curry had another solid night with 16 points, five rebounds, and five assists.

Despite the win, head coach Steve Kerr got tons of job to do for the Warriors who are still at the no. 10 spot in the Western Conference.

Meanwhile, after starting their season with a stunning 5-2 win-loss record, the Spurs are back in the 12^th spot of the Western Conference after losing six out of their last seven games.

Their only win came from the banged-up Milwaukee Bucks team that played without Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday who were sidelined due to their respective injuries.

Golden State will have the chance to win their second game in a row when they square off against the Phoenix Suns tomorrow while the Spurs seek redemption today as they face Damian Lillard and the Portland Trailblazers.
