Two of Iloilo province’s most wanted individuals were arrested in separate operations on May 21.
The suspects were identified only by their aliases: Celino, 55, of Purok 4, Barangay Mamhut Norte, Balasan, and Rey, 64, of Barangay Napnapan Sur, Tigbauan.
Police from the Balasan Municipal Police Station apprehended Celino at 9 a.m. in Sitio Malbog, Barangay Tingui-an, Balasan.
Celino, Iloilo’s fifth most wanted person, is facing charges of acts of lasciviousness and acts of lasciviousness in relation to Republic Act 7610, or the Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.
He was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by the presiding judge of Branch 66, Regional Trial Court, 6th Judicial Region, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo.
Authorities were able to locate him based on information from informants.
Bail was set at PHP180,000 for his temporary release.
Meanwhile, police from the Tigbauan Municipal Police Station arrested Rey at 4 p.m. in Barangay Napnapan Sur.
Rey was arrested based on a warrant of arrest for frustrated murder.
The court recommended a bail bond of PHP200,000 for his provisional liberty.
