The PLDT High Speed Hitters launched an overwhelming attack to sweep the Galeries Tower Highrisers, 25-18, 25-22, 25-17, in the ongoing Premier Volleyball League (PVL) All-Filipino Conference on March 10, 2026, at the Playtime FilOil Centre.
With its third consecutive PVL win, the High Speed Hitters claimed the solo top spot in the league rankings, improving to a 6-1 win-loss record with 17 total points, just one point ahead of the rolling Cignal Super Spikers.
Fresh off a grueling five-set win over the Farm Fresh Foxies, PLDT made sure no slow start could prevent it from seizing the early momentum, en route to a lopsided and convincing performance.
The High Speed Hitters banked on a flawless offensive start from Savannah Davison, who steered PLDT to an early double-digit advantage midway through the first set.
Galeries attempted one final late rally after pulling within five points, but PLDT’s clutch defensive outing and back-to-back conversions from Davison and Mika Reyes sealed the deal for a 1-0 lead.
The Highrisers deployed a major adjustment by shifting their point of attack to evade PLDT’s towering middle blockers, but the in-game strategy tweak came to no avail as the laser-focused High Speed Hitters picked them apart on both ends of the floor.
Picking up where Davison and Reyes left off were Alleiah Malaluan and Majoy Baron, who provided the defensive spark with three crucial blocks in the final six possessions of the second set.
Disciplined while staying sharp on their cross-court attacks, the High Speed Hitters left Galeries behind with a 12-point lead in the third and final set, formalizing their sixth PVL win with an impressive 5-1 scoring run to end the match in style.
Davison spearheaded the PLDT mayhem with a game-high 21 points built on 18 successful attacks, alongside seven excellent receptions, two service aces, and one block.
Reyes displayed a vintage defensive performance with 10 markers and four blocks, while Malaluan chipped in with an all-around outing of nine points, 14 excellent receptions, and seven excellent digs.
The High Speed Hitters will look to maintain their top spot on March 14, 2026, in a highly anticipated clash with the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, while Galeries aims to arrest its skid on March 17, 2026, against the Akari Chargers.
