FILIPINA tennis star Alex Eala is now No. 13 in the world after a historic run in the 2019 World Super Juniors Tennis Championships Osaka Mayor’s Cup.
Eala’s silver finish in Osaka lifted her from No. 26 to No. 13.
It was no simple feat for the young tennis star.
Facing tennis heavyweights around the world, Eala cemented her name as one of the best singles players after sweeping her eliminations round.
In the finals, Eala faced French star Diane Parry but the Filipina could not handle Parry’s firepower, eventually bowing in straight sets, 6-2, 6-4.
