PHP510K Worth of Shabu Seized in Oton Buy-Bust

Police seized more than PHP500,000 worth of illegal drugs during an anti-narcotics operation in Oton, Iloilo, on the afternoon of May 26.
Alias Pesyong, 39, was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at his home in Barangay San Antonio, Oton, around 4:37 p.m. Monday.
Officers from the Oton Municipal Police Station confiscated approximately 75 grams of suspected shabu.
Lieutenant Colonel Abner Jordan, Oton police chief, said the seized drugs are valued at PHP510,000.
Pesyong, identified as a drug personality on the police target list, was arrested after a monthlong surveillance operation.
Jordan said they began monitoring him following several reports from residents about his alleged illegal activities.
Initial investigation indicates Pesyong sourced his drug supply from Iloilo City and distributed it in Oton.
He is currently in the custody of the Oton police and will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
