PHP1.8-M ‘shabu’ seized, two nabbed

BACOLOD CITY — Two alleged drug personalities were arrested with 275 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP1,870,000 in a buy-bust operation at Purok Crossing 8, Old Runway, Barangay Tangub here on Saturday.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) identified the suspects as “Jeffrey,” 38, and his alleged cohort “Fernando,” 39, both residents of the said village.
Police Capt. Sherwin Galupar, head of Police Station 8, said Jeffrey was classified as a high-value individual, while his companion was tagged as a street-level individual.
Galupar said they could not disclose further details about the suspects’ background, as the information is vital to their follow-up operation.
Jeffrey will be charged with the sale and possession of dangerous drugs, while his companion will face charges for possession of dangerous drugs, according to Galupar.
Meanwhile, a 21-year-old man from Hinigaran, Negros Occidental, was also arrested with 60 grams of suspected shabu worth PHP408,000 in Barangay Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, on Saturday.
