PHP 20 million CapSU activity center approved

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — A PHP 20 million budget has been approved for the construction of a student activity center at the Capiz State University Pontevedra campus in Barangay Bailan, Pontevedra, Capiz.
Capiz 1st District Rep. Ivan Howard A. Guintu recently announced the funding to the media.
Guintu said the facility will serve as a venue for major school events, including gatherings, graduation ceremonies and other activities.
The CapSU Bailan campus has 3,388 students, including 3,153 undergraduate students and 235 graduate students.
“Ang pag-angkon sang kumpleto nga edukasyon kag propesyunal sa tagsa ka pamilya ang mangin behikulo para maangkon ang masanag nga palaabuton,” Guintu said.
Last week, Guintu attended the groundbreaking ceremony for an evacuation center in Barangay Cubay, President Roxas, Capiz.
He said the evacuation center is needed by residents during calamities and can also serve other community purposes.
The congressman also turned over several fiberglass-reinforced boats to fishermen in Panay, Capiz, as livelihood assistance for local fisherfolk.
