AFTER A long 10-game skid, Sta. Lucia Lady Realtors finally scored a win against Marinerang Pilipina, 25-17, 25-19, 31-29, in the 2019 Philippine Superliga All-Filipino Conference.
Substitute player Glaudine Troncoso sparked the Lady Realtors’s momentum after she was fielded in the very intense third set.
Troncoso tallied 8 crucial points, including the game leading point in the third set, 30-29, off a costly error by Judith Abil of Marinera.
Sta. Lucia controlled the first two sets, generating backline and cross court attacks from good sets.
Realtors’ mainstays Amanda Villanueva and Pam Lastimosa combined for 24 points.
Lastimosa posted 11 points and an impressive 10 digs, while Villanueva tallied 9 kills and 4 blocks for 13 points.
“I want to acknowledge my players who went through a lot of losses, but didn’t give up,” said Sta. Lucia coach Babes Castillo.
Abil led Marinera with 13 points on top of 13 digs and 7 receptions.
