MALL goers will have the rare opportunity to see the century old churches around the Philippines through a photo exhibit at SM City Iloilo.
In partnership with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Filipino Heritage Festival, Inc. (FHFI); the exhibit, which has made its round in several SM Malls in the country, makes its last stop at SM City Iloilo to give the Ilonggos a unique exhibition of Philippine colonial churches from Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.
Dubbed as “Up Front: Encountering the Sacred,” the exhibit consists of photos taken by members of FUNtastic Philippines, which aims to promote the heritage in the Philippines through featured photographs of churches declared as National Cultural Treasure, National Historical Landmark, an Important Cultural Property or a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
“Up Front: Encountering the Sacred” is a sure treat to the Ilonggos as these churches have served as sanctuaries, landmarks, and popular destination among tourists.
The exhibit is located at the lower ground floor of SM City Iloilo and will be up for viewing until August 17, 2019.
