Ending the match against Myanmar in a scoreless draw is nothing to be ashamed of.
What the PH Women’s football squad faced are the reigning and defending bronze medalists in the last Southeast Asian Games, and managing a scoreless draw proved to be something positive for the Pinays.
Opening their bid for an impressive SEA Games outing, the PH Malditas were off to a good start after keeping up with the pace of the Myanmar team who was always looking to push the action.
Both squads looked to press the pace and always looked to find the back of the net but both came out struggling.
The Malditas had the chance to draw the first blood but the attempt was saved by Myanmar’s goalkeeper on the right side.
With only a total of 6 participating teams, the PH can ill afford to lose any games.
The PH women booters have the chance to garner their first win of the 2019 SEA Games when they face Malaysia on December 2.
