The Philippine Esports Organization (PeSO) made one of the biggest leaps in the country’s Esports history after grabbing the National Sports Association (NSA) accreditation they needed to be recognized by the Philippine Olympic Committee (POC).
Last month, the biggest esport companies and organizations came together to show support to PeSO in their bid of taking a step higher for their NSA goal.
“I personally welcome the PeSO as an associate member of the Philippine Olympic Committee after successfully complying with all the requisites for membership and gaining approval from the POC General Assembly last August 29, 2020,” said POC president Abraham Tolentino.
PeSO’s main goal is to help elevate Esports in the country and to build top-tier groups, teams, and organizations that can put the country at the pedestal.
“Esports is undoubtedly the current rage, with millions of active participants worldwide. The fact that many Filipino players have distinguished themselves as top performers in the sport gives us reason to feel encouraged and proud,” Tolentino added.
With the recent success PeSO had, the different groups, players, and enthusiasts that helped make the said organization is already looking forward to starting with their proposed plans.
