After the PBA was granted approval by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases to finally start their 2020 season, another professional sports league is hoping to get the same result.
The Philippines Football League (PFL) has already set their game calendars on October 24 and will put their fate in the hands of the IATF if their Carmona bubble will be accepted.
League commissioner Coco Torre already met with his team and mapped out the final plans to ensure a smooth restart on October 24.
Players will have to abide by strict bubble safety protocols once they arrive in Carmona where they will only be allowed to leave Seda Hotel for training and competing in the PFF National Training Center.
The PFL bubble format will be similar to that of the PBA in Clark and the Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 2020 President’s Cup in Calamba.
Players, team employees, and league staff will be housed in the hotel and will not be allowed to go out of the designated location until the end of the bubble season.
Each participating club will be playing in a single round-robin format and will tackle five matches where the final four in the standings will be qualified to advance to the next rounds.
