THE PetroGazz Angels showed why they were number one after pulling off a masterful display of volleyball and dethroning Creamline Cool Smashers for their first title, 25-15, 28-30, 25-23, 25-19, in the 2019 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference on July 14, 2019, at Ynares Center.
The Alyssa Valdez-led Creamline had no answer to the attacks of PetroGazz, as the dynamic duo of Janisa Johnson and Wilma Salas took over and hit the ball all over the court.
The opening was no contest, as the Angels were fiery hot, resulting in a dominant first set, 25-15.
The Cool Smashers showed signs of life, as they rallied from a six-point deficit in a tightly contested set which they grabbed, 28-30.
PetroGazz went bursting in the next two sets, as they punished Creamline and never looked back to bag the 2019 PVL championship.
