Concepcion, Iloilo—In celebration of Earth Day, Palm Concepcion Power Corporation (PCPC) conducted a clean-up activity at Lilintian Creek on April 23, 2024.
Volunteers from PCPC, together with service providers, collected a total of 64.5 kilograms of garbage.
The clean-up activity is a regular activity under PCPC’s flagship program for the environment, Project Baybay which includes the Adopt-an-Estero (Adopt-a-Creek) Program. The said program was signed into an agreement in 2017 with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources Environmental Management Bureau Region 6 (DENR EMB 6) and Local Government Units in the Province of Iloilo. It aims to conserve creeks near the power plant facility.
PCPC is the owner and operator of the 135-Megawatt Circulating Fluidized Bed Combustion Power Plant located in Concepcion, Iloilo.
