P400,000 worth of ‘shabu’ seized in 3 drug busts

BACOLOD City – Three separate buy-bust operations here and in two cities in Negros Occidental in the past two days resulted in the confiscation of an estimated P400,000 worth of suspected shabu.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Negros Occidental arrested Benjur Cawaling and Juan Carlos Labayen at Barangay Mandalagan here early Friday, after both suspects allegedly yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000, a weighing scale, and marked money.
In Silay City, Romy Clavecillas, 54, of Barangay Rizal Proper was nabbed at Barangay 1 last Thursday, after police seized from him two sachets of suspected shabu weighing three grams worth P45,000, P3,500 boodle money, and the P500 marked money.
In Victorias City, a male teenager was collared at Barangay 6 that day, after police recovered from him 23 sachets of suspected shabu worth P15,000, a lighter, two plastic sachets, the P400 marked money, and P200 in cash.
Police identified the suspect as Alan Adolfo, 19, of the said village.
