ROXAS CITY, Capiz – A new fire station in Panay town was formally inaugurated Monday, Dec. 27, 2021 at Barangay Poblacion Tabuc.
The blessing was led by Fire Senior Superintendent Jerry Candido, Bureau of Fire Protection-6 regional director, together with other municipal officials led by Mayor Felipe Barredo.
According to Senior Fire Officer 1 Juliet Delfin, OIC/Municipal Fire Marshal of Panay Fire Station, P4,200,000 was spent on the building that was constructed on a 300-square meter lot donated by the local government unit (LGU) of Panay.
Delfin said the construction of the fire station started in February 2021 and was completed on Dec 22.
Ten BFP personnel were assigned to the fire station along with 6 fire aides.
Delfin said the fire truck of Panay Fire Station has a capacity of 4,000 liters.
