BACOLOD City – The anti-illegal drug campaign of local policemen continues to intensify as big volume of suspected shabu was seized here and in Negros Occidental this week.
The recent operation was conducted Friday last week against Sofia Marie Dela Cruz, 30, of Barangay Don Jorge L. Araneta, Bago City.
Police recovered from Dela Cruz 150 grams of suspected shabu worth P1.020 million, the P30,000 marked money, a caliber .45 pistol with a magazine loaded with seven live ammunitions, a digital weighing scale, and drug paraphernalia.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Joem Malong, city police chief, said Dela Cruz was allegedly supplying illegal drugs within the city, according to some suspected drug peddlers who were arrested earlier.

Malong said the suspect’s husband was also previously arrested here.
Dela Cruz, who is tagged as a high value individual, will be facing drug charges. She has yet to comment.
Her arrest came after the Bacolod City Police Office seized P2 million worth of suspected shabu in a drug bust in Barangay 16 here last Thursday.
More than P1 million worth of the said contraband was also confiscated in series of drug operations this week.
