A 28-year-old man died in a motorcycle collision morning of Jan 21, 2022 in Cabatuan, Iloilo.
Police identified the victim as Jaellan Judicpa, a resident of Hedriana St. in Pavia, Iloilo.
Judicpa came from Pavia and was navigating the national highway along Barangay Talanghauan, Cabatuan when the incident happened.
Staff Sergeant Jasper Canto, Cabatuan PNP traffic investigator, said an XRM motorcycle driven by Roel Loraña tried to encroach the opposite lane and collided with Judicpa’s Bajaj motorcycle.
Loraña, a resident of Barangay San Gregorio, Lambunao, Iloilo, was also wounded because of the incident.
The two were taken to Ramon Tabiana Memorial District Hospital in Cabatuan town but Judicpa was declared dead on arrival.
Loraña is presently being treated and might face a charge for reckless imprudence resulting in homicide.
